CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The clock is ticking as the U.S. government tries to find a buyer for the old federal courthouse in Cape Girardeau.
According to the General Services Administration's auction website bidding will close on August 2.
The highest bid of just two entered $151,601 has stood since May 30.
Cape county leaders say they still have some interest in the building.
City Manager Scott Meyer says he hopes the county bids as the city may want to talk about using a portion of it.
