MADISON COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Marquand man was arrested for allegedly stealing money from the Madison County Boys Baseball League.

It's an organization he was collecting money for.

According to the court-filed complaint, 35-year-old Chad A. Reeves allegedly mis-appropriated a little more than $2,000 from the league fund.

Reeves is charged of felony stealing and could face prison time and fines up to $5,000 if convicted.

He heads to court July 29.

Concerned parents are planning fundraisers to cover the missing money.   Holly Brantley met with them.  Look for more on Heartland News and kfvs12.com.
