KSP searches for man wanted for murder

TRIGG COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Kentucky State Police are asked for help finding a Trigg County man wanted for murder.

Claude Russell, 34, is wanted for the murder of Chantell Humphries in June of 2002 in Trigg County.

State Police detectives have been investigated the case for nearly a decade.

On Tuesday, July 12 a State Police detective presented the case to a Trigg County Grand Jury where they found enough evidence to indict.

On Friday, July 15, a warrant was issued for Claude Russell.

Claude Russell is described as a black male standing six feet tall and weighing about 160 lbs.

He is believed to be in the Cadiz/Trigg county area.

Anyone with information of the location of Claude Russell is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555 or 270-856-3721.

    A fundraiser is in effect in Southern Illinois between Shawnee Tactical Solutions and the Stop the Bleeding Coalition to put specialized trauma kits in the hands of police departments.

    In an effort to save more lives in active shooter situation and beyond, Shawnee Tactical Solutions and the Stop the Bleeding Coalition are partnering up to put special trauma kits in the hands of police officers.
