Gov. Steve Beshear announced Tuesday the Commonwealth posted the strongest growth in five years during the fiscal year that just ended.
According to Beshear, much of the extra revenue will go into the state's rainy day fund.
"We will be putting more than $100 million into the state's rainy day fund," said Beshear (D-KY) "The last time that happened? 2007."
Beshear says the better-than-expected tax collections are another sign of economic recovery.
