2 indicted by Grand Jury on prescription drug charges

MCCRACKEN COUNY, KY (KFVS) -

Two western Kentucky men are behind bars following indictments handed down by a McCracken County Grand Jury.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department Drug Division arrested 60-year-old Clifford Hale of Wingo and Justin Fowler, 22 of Paducah for alleged trafficking in controlled substances.

On July 1, a Grand Jury indicted both Hale and Fowler for various drug offenses.

The arrests follow a two-month-long investigation into allegations that both Hale and Fowler were selling prescription medications.

Hale was indicted for allegedly selling methadone pills.

Fowler was indicted for allegedly selling hydromorphone and klonopin pills.

Both men were arrested Friday without incident. they're now being held in the McCracken County Jail on the following charges:

Hale:

  • Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (A class "D" felony, punishable by 1 - 5 years)

Fowler:

  • Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (A class "D" felony, punishable by 1 - 5 years)
  • Trafficking Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 1st Offense
