Saline Co. flood buyout and mitigation options meeting

SALINE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

Saline County Emergency Management Agency, Director Allan Ninness is encouraging residents of Saline County to attend a community meeting on July 19 to learn more about buyouts and flood mitigation options.  

"Our community is working hard to recover from the effects of the recent flooding that has stricken our area, we are doing everything possible to inform our residents of the options available to them," Ninness said.  

Saline County, Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), will host an informational meeting and answer questions about ongoing mitigation efforts at 6:30 p.m. on July 19th at the Harris Pruett Building, 107 East Church Street, Harrisburg, IL 62946.
