CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - Three teenagers have been charged with aggravated robbery and armed violence in connection with a personal dispute that led to an armed robbery in Carbondale.
According to Carbondale police, 17-year-old Quentin Bailey, 18-year-old Miguel B. Schauf and 17-year-old Cody Dempsey were all charged with aggravated robbery, armed violence, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
Police say they responded to a reported armed robbery at the 1400 block of North Illinois Avenue on July 6, 2011.
Investigators learned the victims were approached by two suspects and demanded their things.
According to Carbondale police, the men had fled the scene in a silver car with another man.
Investigators later learned it was the three men who were charged with the crimes.
Police say no one was hurt as a result of the incident.
According to police, the incident was a result of a personal dispute between the victims and the suspects who are acquaintances.
All three were taken to the Jackson County Jail.
