3 Teens hurt in tractor crash

Three teens riding on a John Deere tractor at a campground in Bollinger County were sent to a Cape Girardeau hospital with minor and moderate injuries Saturday evening.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 17-year-old Mitchell Lacey of Malden was driving a 2006 John Deere down a hill too fast and lost control.

Troopers say that's when three teenage occupants were thrown from the tractor.

All three teenagers are from Bernie.  Tyler Carter, 15-years-old, and 14-year-old Jake Wagner were taken to St. Francis Medical Center with minor injuries.  Bryan Jennings, 15-years-old, was also taken to St. Francis Medical Center, but with moderate injuries.

The crash happened at a camp ground south of County Road 520 around 3:45 p.m.

The tractor had minor damages.
