MOREHOUSE, MO (KFVS) - An early afternoon crash Saturday claimed the lives of 2 people from Marston.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, it happened around 12:17 p.m. on US 60 and MO 114 at Morehouse in Stoddard County.
Charlie S. Hammons, 93, and Essie P. Hammons, 87, both of Marston were killed, according to the patrol.
The crash happened when a 1998 Ford driven west by Charlie Hammons pulled into the path of a 1996 driven north by Bryian G. Brown, 41, of New Madrid, according to the crash report.
Brown's vehicle then struck Hammon's car. Both vehicles left the road and Hammons was ejected. Charles Hammons died at a Cape Girardeau hospital. Essie Hammons died at the scene, according to the crash report.
Injured in the crash was a 13-year-old occupant in Brown's vehicle who was taken by ambulance to a Sikeston hospital for moderate injuries.
Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the patrol.
The Hammon's next of kin was notified, according to the highway patrol.
