A man is in jail and a woman in the hospital after an alleged DWI crash Friday night.

It happened in Millersville just before 7 p.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Edward McElfresh of Salem Missouri was traveling eastbound on Highway 72 when the crash occurred.

Troopers say a northbound motorcycle operated by 20-year-old Jessica Dunn of Millersville made a left turn in the path of McElfresh's car.

Dunn was reportedly wearing a helmet, but was seriously injured in the wreck. She was taken to a Cape Girardeau hospital.

Police arrested McElfresh for driving while intoxicated and driving without insurance. He's currently in the Cape Girardeau County Jail.
