Fulton man arrested on drug, theft charges

FULTON, KY (KFVS) - Fulton Police arrested a man on drug, theft and other charges Wednesday.

James Eric Simmons, 22, of Fulton, Kentucky is charged with theft by unlawful taking over $500 [warrant], resisting arrest, assault 3rd degree [Police Officer], fleeing or evading police 2nd degree, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree [methamphetamine] and possession of drug paraphernalia 1st offense.

During the arrest, police say Simmons fought with officers and a tazer was used to subdue him.

Simmons was taken to the Fulton County Detention Center.
