Two accused of stealing iron manhole rings

METROPOLIS, IL (KFVS) - Two Metropolis men face felony theft charges after police say several iron manhole rings went missing.

Terrell B. Deen, 25, and Adam J. Brown, 38, are charged with theft (over $500).

The E.T. Simonds Company reported the theft of several iron manhole adjustment rings on June 28.  The company was doing paving work in Metropolis.

Police arrested Deen and Brown at a Metropolis recycling center at 9:24 a.m. Wednesday after the center called police.

Police have recovered 11 of the missing rings.

Deen and Brown were taken to the Massac County Detention Center.
