PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) -

A Fredericktown man faces drug charges after a Perryville woman turns up dead in a Perryville hotel room.

Steven Arthur Harbour, 25, faces charges of distribution and attempted distribution of a controlled substance.

Harbour's arrest follows the discovery of an unconscious woman in a Perryville hotel room over the weekend.

According to investigators, Harbour says he gave the unidentified woman prescription drugs including oxycodone and clonazepam, along with alcohol.

The Perryville woman, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another woman in the room says Harbour tried to give her pills but she refused.

Investigators also report two other men in the room who also took prescription pills provided by Harbour.

The investigation continues, and Perryville Police say more charges could be filed.
