Afternoon update: Pujols out 4-6 weeks

New Madrid County Sheriff Terry Stevens says a one-month-old baby boy is still in critical condition and his father is behind bars accused of first degree assault with serious physical injury.

The National Weather Service is touring parts of Franklin County and surveying damage after several weather this weekend.  Julia Bruck spent the day there and shows us some of the damage.

Two temporary Disaster Recovery Centers are set to open on Wednesday and Thursday in southern Illinois.  A Mobile Disaster Recovery Center in Bollinger County opened today in Marble Hill for those wanting more information on what help is available.

The Jacque Waller investigation is about to enter its third week, and still investigators have no concrete evidence as to what happened to the missing wife and mother of three. Friends, family and co-workers are doing everything they can to keep hope alive. The latest is a garage sale to benefit the Jacque Waller family fund.

A Scott County search and rescue unit wants families like the Waller family to know there is hope they will find their missing loved ones.  From recent cases to cold cases, the team works with a national center called CUE which stands for Community United Effort.  Holly Brantley met with the Scott County K9 team and explains how they can help today on Heartland News at 5.
