Commander Premier Aircraft Corp. files bankruptcy

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Commander Premier Aircraft Corporation has filed for bankruptcy.

The company rented out a building at Cape Girardeau Regional Airport several years ago.

City leaders say the company stopped paying its bills.

Thirty days ago, city leaders gave the company an eviction note.

Now, Cape Girardeau's city manager says the money that Commander owes the city is in the hands of bankruptcy courts.

Right now, the city is renting out a small section of the hanger space for a few airplanes.
