BURFORDVILLE, MO (KFVS) -

A pick up truck pulling a trailer and a small white car sideswiped each other early Friday afternoon sending at least one person to the hospital.

According to the Mo. State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 12:15 p.m. around 2.5 from Bufordville on Hwy. OO in Cape Girardeau County.

A trooper on the scene says a car driven east by Kevin M. Jantz, 22, of Marble Hill crossed the center line and sideswiped a pickup truck pulling a trailer driven west by Keith A. Shumpert, 47, of Burfordville. Both the car and truck traveled off the roadway.

Police say debris from the crash struck the windshield and roof of a car driven by Jacquelyn S. Rodrigouez, 54, of Chaskai, Minnesota causing minor damage.

Jantz was taken by ambulance to a Cape Girardeau hospital with moderate injuries, according to police.
