LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Kentucky father and son are in police custody in Alabama, where they were found after Louisville police issued an AMBER Alert for the teen.  They were found in a hotel in Homewood, AL just south of Birmingham.

The alert for 15-year-old Joshua Young went nationwide Thursday afternoon. Young was last seen with his father, 31-year-old Joshua Gouker, around 7 p.m. June 15 on Algonquin Parkway.

Gouker was supposed to show up for a change of plea hearing in Floyd County Thursday afternoon in a 2000 theft case, but he was a no-show. The judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest.  That's when investigators discovered he'd disappeared with his son.

Police found Gouker and Young with a woman, 29-year-old Jahira Ann Riddle around 10pm Thursday night.  Gouker and Riddler are in jail in Homewood, AL, held on unrelated gun and kidnapping charges out of Madison County, AL. Young is being held in a juvenile detention center in Birmingham, AL.

Gouker was 14-year-old Trey Zwicker's step-father.  Zwicker was found murdered in a field behind Liberty High school on May 11.  Late Thursday afternoon, the Jefferson County Coroner's office reported Zwicker had been beaten and stabbed to death.  The weapon or weapons have not yet been determined, but his death is being ruled a homicide. No one has been charged in that case.

Kentucky Probation and Parole officers also have a warrant out on Gouker, accusing him of avoiding parole officers. A spokeswoman for the Department of Corrections says when officers made a visit to Gouker's house this week, he wasn't there.
