POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) - A jury recommends a man serve two five year prison terms for the shooting death of his sister-in-law's longtime boyfriend.

A Butler County jury convicted Randy Johnson of charges of manslaughter and armed criminal action after about five hours of deliberation last week.

Jurors believe Johnson killed Gary Williamson in March of 2010.

Johnson testified that he shot Williamson during a fight, believing Williamson had a weapon.

Johnson says a gun fired during a struggle.

Sentencing is set for July 19.
