Kentucky man found dead in Blytheville

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KFVS) - Blytheville Police are looking for information after discovering a body Friday.

Blytheville police found the body of Dexter Burgess in a parking lot of the Industrial Park area of Blytheville Friday around 3 p.m.

Burgess, a resident of Kentucky, was found slumped over the steering wheel with injuries consistent with a homicide, according to the Blytheville Police Department.

A green Toyoto car was discovered partially in the ditch near the entrance to a warehouse.

The body was transported to the morgue at the great River Medical Center and will be sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiners office for an autopsy.

According to police, tools in the vehicle suggest the victim was an electrician and may have been in Blytheville working at a local factory.

The Blytheville Police Department is looking for people who may have known the victim.
