Afternoon update: Major Case Squad standing down in Waller case, police still at work

Good Sunday afternoon! Here are some of the stories we are working on for Heartland News and kfvs12.com.

The Cape Girardeau-Bollinger County Major Case Squad is standing down for now in the Jacque Waller case; however, they can be recalled at anytime, according to Lt. David James. He says multiple officers continue to put in long hours on the case.

In southern Illinois, some businesses have closed or are still hurting because of spring flooding. Arnold Wyrick talks to business owners who have fought flooding in Olive Branch and Miller City areas.

A Poplar Bluff man was injured in a Saturday DWI crash.

Holly Brantley is in Mississippi County and talks with farmers and residents who are dealing with repeated thefts and have put up extra lighting trying to prevent stealing.
