Man injured in DWI crash

BUTLER COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Poplar Bluff man is injured in a Saturday DWI crash.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, it happened around 8:30 p.m. when Billie Stallings, 49 of Poplar Bluff was driving south on US 67 just north of County Road 482 in Butler County.

Troopers say Stallings ran off the road, over-corrected, ran off the other side of the road and overturned.

Stallings was reportedly not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Troopers say he was air lifted to a Cape Girardeau hospital with serious injuries.

Missouri Highway Patrol cited Stallings for Driving While Intoxicated Drugs and possession of the controlled substance Xanax.
