Straight line winds are likely to blame for damage to the elementary school in Qulin, Mo. Saturday afternoon.
Superintendent Mike Stevenson of Twin Rivers R-X says an insurance adjuster was on the way to look at the damage Monday.
He says 70 to 80 percent of the roof was blown off and a pavilion at the ballpark was destroyed.
Straight line winds pushed over some trees onto homes, and some hail was also reported in the area, according to the Qulin Police Chief Art Fisher.
Many lost power, but by Saturday night power had been restored.
Chief Fisher says MoDOT also worked quickly to repair and put blown over signs back up.
Fisher says two young children suffered minor injuries from shattered glass. No other injuries were reported.
