Flood is still hurting one family business

VAN BUREN, MO (KFVS) - Businesses continue to experience the aftermath of flooding.

Kellie Duhon said camping at her family's business, Van Buren Campground, is down 75-percent from last year.

The campground is located along the Current River, and usually most of the sites including those along the riverfront are taken.

Duhon thinks many people assume the campground in Carter County is still closed after the flooding that began in late April.

She said cleanup and flooding repairs are finished and the grounds are ready for campers.
