WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

Three people face charges after a shooting death in Williamson County Tuesday night.

Charles R. James, 73, died after a shooting at a home northeast of Herrin at 18609 Freeman Spur Road.

When deputies arrived on the scene they found James dead and a woman who had been shot but was alive.  The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Joshua M. Dallacosta of Herrin, 15, has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm.

Kate M. Bodie, 35, of Herrin has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm.

Cindy A. Stearns, 51, of Herrin has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm.

According to deputies someone called 911 around 10 p.m. Tuesday saying someone had been shot.

Williamson County sheriff's investigators say they initially arrested and charged the suspects with aggravated battery with a firearm.

A neighbor says usually this is a pretty quite area, but was suddenly startled by gun shots Tuesday night.

"It was about five gun shots and a pause," said Seanna Benjamin, a neighbor. "Then about two or three more. Then a pause then more, a last gun shot. It was about nine total."

Deputies and Illinois State Police crime scene investigators worked overnight and into the morning piecing together what happened at this home.

An autopsy is set for later Wednesday.

Bond has been set at $1 million for each suspect.  The preliminary hearing date has been set for June 20, 2011, at 1:15 p.m.
