MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A Friday night crash sends several to the hospital and slows traffic on I-24 for hours.
It happened at around 10:30 Friday night.
McCracken County Deputies say 18-year-old Angel Gibson of West Paducah was driving 2003 Chevy Cavalier westbound on I-24 near the 13 mile marker in the slow lane when an unknown vehicle slowed down in front of her for an unknown reason.
Officers say Gibson swerved to the fast lane, lost control of the vehicle and struck the concrete bridge wall.
Gibson's vehicle then continued back across the westbound lanes to the slow land and onto the shoulder where the vehicle hit the bridge rail.
Another small passenger car driven by 21-year-old Michael Badger of Eddyville then struck Gibson's car in the rear of the vehicle after it had finally come to rest.
Badger's vehicle was also occupied by 17-year-old Linsy Tiller, 18-year-old Hailey Guss and 17-year-old Christopher Mullinix all of Eddyville.
All occupants were transported to Western Baptist Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
I-24 was slowed to one lane for approximately one hour while the scene was cleaned up.
No word on any driver or passengers' conditions.
