Police search for homicide suspect

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KFVS) - The Blytheville Police Department is searching for a man they say is connected to a March homicide.

Devontae Marquez Rivers, 19,  is wanted for capital murder, kidnapping, and aggravated robbery in connection a homicide that occurred in Blytheville on March 2, 2011.

On March 2,  officers were called to the area of Beale and Alabama streets in Blytheville after people in the neighborhood discovered the body of a black male in small field area.

Detectives later identified Dorian Long as the victim with an apparent gunshot wound.

During the course of the investigation Detectives identified multiple suspects and obtained warrants for Rivers and two females who are currently in custody in Dunklin County Missouri on unrelated charges.

Rivers has been seen in Arkansas, Missouri and possibly has ties in the Memphis area. He should be considered armed and very dangerous and if anyone has knowledge of his location they are asked to contact the Blytheville Police Department at 870-763-4411or their local law enforcement agency.
