ELDORADO, IL (KFVS) - Southeastern Illinois Electric Cooperative has made significant progress today in restoring power to its customers.
The Cooperative is utilizing Kentucky Electric Cooperative crews as well as numerous crews from three area contractors to assist with their line and forestry personnel with restoration efforts, according to Stephanie Tripp, Administrative Assistant & Human Resource Manager.
"The majority of outages will be restored sometime this evening however we will have some outages linger into tomorrow," said Tripp. "We are hopeful that all services will be restored by tomorrow afternoon. We understand the frustrations of those members without service; however we want them to know that crews are working diligently to restore power to their homes as quickly as possible."
The Cooperative experienced approximately 8,300 outages at the peak of the storm. Friday morning, they are reporting 115 members without service.
