PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - A teenager is charged with murder after a Wednesday night shooting in Paducah.
Lloyd Taylor, 19 is currently in the McCracken County Jail accused of shooting and killing 37-year-old Jonathan Foster of Paducah Wednesday at 8 p.m. at a home at 611 S. 11th Street.
Investigators say money was a possible motive.
"They were having some sort of minor dispute that escalated into a shooting," said Paducah Police Sgt. Brian Laird.
Sgt. Laird says Foster and Taylor were outside when the argument took place and shots were fired.
"(Foster) was shot twice," Sgt. Laird said. "He had one gunshot to the leg and another to the chest area."
Investigators say Foster made it back into the house where a woman called 9-11. He later died at a Paducah hospital.
Detectives worked through the night and arrested Taylor Thursday morning.
"He had about four grams of cocaine in his pocket when he was arrested, but we don't believe that was related to the shooting that occurred," said Sgt. Laird.
Police believe another man, 20-year-old Trevon Williams, may help answer some remaining questions.
"We don't believe he had anything to do with the actual shooting of Mr. Foster," Sgt. Laird said. "We believe he was possibly there and he has information related to why this happened and the circumstances surrounding it."
If you know where Trevon Williams may be found, contact the Paducah Police Department at (270) 444-8550 or call Paducah Crime Stoppers at (270) 443-TELL.
Lloyd Taylor remains in the McCracken County Jail on $500,000 bond.
