PATTON, MO (KFVS) - The National Weather Service has confirmed an EFO tornado hit Patton on Tuesday night.

The tornado began .4 miles south-southwest of Patton, crossing Highway 51 and ending .3 miles south-southeast of town.

According to NWS, the tornado had peak winds of 80 mph, it was 100 yards wide and .75 miles long.

Reports of many snapped and uprooted trees occurred with this storm along with damaging straight-line winds. A barn was reported destroyed as well..

There was widespread tree and power pole damage reported from straight-line winds between Patton and Sedgewickville.
