SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - In the southern part of Scott County, Donnie Mayfield says he saw a funnel cloud roll in.

"I saw lightening," said Donnie. "Then I saw the cloud come across the field."

He lives on county road 529 right next door to his parents.

"Our house is a total loss," said Don Mayfield.

He was in the camper behind his home when the storm hit.

"Now part of the porch is in the living room," said Don. "My wife and I are staying in the camper behind our son until we decide what to do."

Donnie Mayfield's suffered almost no damage despite the fact it sits only yards away from his dad's house.

"We are just happy we are all safe," said Don.
