Anna man sentenced to 25 years in prison for highjacking

UNION COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - A Union County man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for highjacking.

According to Union County State's Attorney Tyler Edmonds, Bradley Scott Schlenker, 37, of Anna was sentenced on a charge of aggravated vehicular highjacking, a class X felony.

Schlenker pleaded guilty on April 20, 2011 before Judge Mark Boie at the Union County Courthouse in Jonesboro, according to Edmonds.

The man was charged by a Union County Grand Jury after he abducted a former girlfriend on October 26, 2010 and held her for several hours.

Schlenker was taken into custody by  Union Co. Sheriff's Deputies on October 26, 2010 following a high speed pursuit on U.S. Highway 51 near Anna.
