CAMPBELL, MO (KFVS) - Police arrested a drug suspect largely thanks to a man with a shotgun.
Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder says a woman who lives north of Campbell claims she woke up around 7:30 Sunday morning and found a man trying to get in her back door.
She told him to leave, then called her son.
Her son arrived, found the man, ordered him to lie on the ground, then held him at gunpoint until police arrived.
The sheriff says the suspect turned out to be 54-yer-old Billy Ray Pickrell who is a Kennett man on probation from Oklahoma.
Investigators say they found narcotics in his car. He faces charges of trafficking drugs, and attempt to manufacture a controlled substance.
