CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Razors buzzed in downtown Cape Girardeau; all for a cause.

One brave woman and several brave men allowed hair stylists to publicly shave their heads.

It's all part of an event to raise money for an organization called "St. Baldrick's".

The charity helps fund research to fight childhood cancer.

The event this year was to honor young Abby Jensen of Oak Ridge who is fighting a brain tumor.

Her father is an officer on the Cape Girardeau police force.

According to event organizer Bailey McClellan, this year's event raised approximately $3,600, but more donations could be coming.
