Several Cape Girardeau businesses without power after two-car crash

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Several businesses on William St. in Cape Girardeau, including KFC, Bank of America, Hardee's, Rhodes, BG's Deli and El Torero, were still without power late Tuesday night due to a vehicle crash just after 6:30 p.m.

According to Cape Girardeau police, one vehicle involved in the crash hit a power pole at the intersection of William & Sheridan.  Ameren Missouri shut off power while they were making repairs to the pole, police said.

The wreck happened when, according to police, one vehicle pulled out of Sheridan and was hit while trying to cross William.  The impact sent one of the vehicles into the utility pole.

Four people were taken to a local hospital.  The extent of their injuries were not known.
