Paducah man drives into pole, 2 injured

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Two persons have been injured following a one-car-crash in McCracken County.

It happened after 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, 37-year-old Nathan J. Purvis of Paducah was driving on the 800 block of Oaks Road in Paducah when he went off the right shoulder of the road.

Purvis lost control of the car and it struck a utility pole, according to police.

Purvis and a passenger, Bradley S. Pegram, 39, of Paducah were taken to a local hospital with injuries.

According to police, he was cited to court for driving on a DUI suspended license.

    The Army Corps of Engineers River Commission made a stop by Cape Girardeau on Sunday as part of their low water inspection trip.
