CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Hundreds of people came out to help raise awareness and money for multiple sclerosis.
The 22nd Annual M.S. Walk was held at Capaha Park Sunday in Cape Girardeau.
"(The support) means a lot, said Pat Sweeney." "I have had (M.S.) for 28 years. It is easy to give up hope, but then we have to believe that we can find a cure. If we can be here today walking and raising money, maybe we can find a cure a little bit faster."
Organizers hoped to raise $40,000 for M.S. research at this event.
