Teen pregnancy rate lowest in 2 decades

Teen pregnancies in the U-S are at a record low.
That's according to new statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
In 20-09, around 410-thousand teenage girls --ages 15 to 19-- gave birth.
That's a 37 percent *decrease* from the teen birth rate nearly twenty years earlier.
In other words-- in 19-91 nearly 70 births per every thousand females was a teen pregnancy.
Now it's down to about 40 teen births per thousand women.
But according to the United Nations, the rate of teen pregnancy here in the U-S is still nearly nine times higher than in the majority of other developed nations.
