Fight over radio station leads to rollover wreck near Paducah

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - A disagreement over a radio station ultimately led to a rollover injury accident in the eastbound lane of Interstate 24 early Saturday morning.

A news release from the McCracken County Sheriff's Department says a 2007 Dodge Caliber overturned several times between the 15 and 16 mile markers around 12:46 a.m.  The driver, Amber Beckner, 30, of Gilbertsville, KY, along with Michael Reed, 32, of Kuttawa, KY, and two other passengers were taken to Lourdes Hospital in Paducah for treatment.

Deputy Derick Pugh says in the news release that Reed reached from the back seat to change the station after a brief argument.  Beckner then lost control, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway, when pushing away Reed's hand from the radio.

Reed was cited for marijuana possession due to evidence found in the vehicle, Deputy Pugh said.
