CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS/AP) - The Missouri Tigers could be on the verge of hiring a new head basketball coach to replace Mike Anderson who left last month to accept the same position at Arkansas.

A person with knowledge of the negotiations has informed the Associated Press that Frank Haith has agreed to leave Miami after seven seasons and take over as coach at Missouri.

The source says no contract has been signed and Missouri officials are scheduled to meet late Monday night to confirm terms of the contract.

Haith has two years remaining on his deal with with Miami, worth a total of about $3 million. He has gone 129-101 in seven seasons with the Hurricanes.
