I-24 crash injures 3, man cited for marijuana

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A rollover crash in McCracken County early Monday morning ends with 3 persons injured and one man being cited for possession of marijuana.

Michael Reed, 32, of Kuttawa was cited for possession of marijuana due to evidence in the car, according to Deputy Rick Pugh.

Police say they responded to the rollover crash on I-24 on April 4, 2011 between the 15 and 16 mile markers.

Amber Beckner, 30, of Gilbertsville was driving her car east when a rear passenger reached to change the radio station after a brief argument.

According to Pugh, Beckner turned and pushed Michael Reed's hand away from stereo and lost control, left the road and overturned.

Police say Reed and a passenger Jesse Reed, 25, of Calvert City and Samantha Corn, 21, of Benton were taken to a local hospital.

Reidland Farley Fire Department and Kentucky State Police assisted at the scene.
