Several crews were on the scene of a large fire Sunday in the Fruitland area.
The fire started in the northern part of Cape Girardeau County, near Proctor and Gamble.
According to Fruitland Fire Chief Dean Riley, the fire has already burned about 50 acres of fields and woods.
Fire crews on the scene say it appears a power line that blew and shot sparks to the ground could be to blame.
No homes were affected in the blaze.
One firefighter officials say had to be treated at a local hospital.
Before that fire was under control, another fire started in the Apple Creek area.
No one was hurt in that fire.
The Fruitland Fire Department says both fires were put out as of early Monday morning.
