Crash in McCracken county splits car in half, two persons injured

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A crash involving two cars in McCracken County ends with two persons injured and one car split in half.

Police say on Tiffany A. Bivin, 22, of West Paducah was going east on Ted Williams Dr. when her SUV failed to stop at the intersection with Husband Road.  Biven's SUV struck a car driven by Kelly V. Campbell, 38, of Mayfield, Ky., according to police.

The crash caused Campbell's car to hit a utility pole on the passenger side and split the car in half between the front and rear seats.

According to Deputy Richard DeArmond, crews had to cut Campbell out the car and she was taken to a local hospital with injures.

Bivin was taken to a local hospital with injuries and police say was later released.

The road was closed for several hours while crews replaced the utility pole.
