Two men accused of selling stolen metal

PEMISCOT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Sheriff Tommy Greenwell says with helpful tips from Pemiscot County citizens, Pemiscot County Deputies and Investigators received information on Thursday, of a couple individuals selling quality metal used in a farming operation to a local salvage dealer.

An investigation led to the name of the seller, and he and another male subject were later located by the Caruthersville Police Department.

Both males were taken into custody, and it was later learned the items stolen were taken from a farm shop on the northend of Pemiscot County.

Sheriff Greenwell says the farmer was notified of the theft which resulted in over $500 of equipment stolen.
