BROSELEY, MO (KFVS) - Voters will head to the polls on April 5, 2011 to decide on a bond election.
The Twin Rivers School Board is asking for voters to extend the current tax levy.
According to the school district in Butler County, it would not increase taxes but rather extend the levy to generate approximately $3.5 million to provide new and updated school facilities for children in the district.
The funds would be used to build a new middle school at the Broseley site, and renovate the existing school building that will be incorporated into the new facility design.
The new facility would house grades 5-8.
Those students are now split up between K-8 facilities in both Qulin and Fisk.
The new middle school would be built across the street from the high school in Broseley.
