Afternoon update: How healthy is your county?

Good Afternoon! Bob Reeves says the weather will be dry and chilly for the rest of the day and we could see some p.m. showers tomorrow.

The Civil Air Patrol plans a "concentrated effort" today in the search for a missing single engine airplane in Ripley and Butler counties.

Poplar Bluff schools are looking at budget cuts that could mean losing a number of staff. Crystal Britt was in Butler County today talking to school officials about the proposed budget cuts. And, Crystal will let you know about a bond issue in Butler County, that if passed next week would mean a new school gymnasium for one district.

How healthy is your county? When it comes to health it looks like the Heartland isn't doing so good. Julia Bruck is in Alexander County following up on their health ranking, compared to other counties in the Heartland.

Laura Wibbenmeyer is in Perryville talking with Mo. State Highway Patrol officials about the need to let students know the dangers of drinking, texting and driving.

There was a job fair in West Frankfort today focusing on careers for those not planning to attend college.
