Sikeston DPS arrests convicted felon after finding handgun

SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) -

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety arrested a man after finding a .380 semi-automatic pistol under his seat.

Police began searching for the Nathan Winfield, 34, of Sikeston after being notified that the convicted felon was traveling in a vehicle with a weapon.

Winfield was charged March 30 by the Scott County Prosecutor with unlawful possession of a firearm.

Winfield remained in custody March 30 with a $10,000 cash only bond, awaiting his arraignment.
