BERTRAND, MO (KFVS) - The State Fire Marshal is investigating a fire that destroyed two trailers in Bertrand early Tuesday morning.
The fire started around 4 a.m. Tuesday at a trailer on Oak Street and then spread to the trailer next door.
According to the Bertrand Fire Department, the first trailer that caught fire was unoccupied, but a woman was living in the trailer next door. She made it out safely.
Fire crews say the first trailer was engulfed when they arrived, and the fire quickly spread to the second trailer.
It took crews about three hours to get the fire under control, partly because a nearby power line fell one of the trailers, causing an explosion.
The cause at this time is unknown, although no electricity was hooked up at the trailer where the fire started.
No one was hurt.
