LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The federal investigation into what caused an explosion at a Rubbertown carbide plant that killed two workers and injured two others continues.
A representative with the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation board said they are digging through rubble on the furnace floor and looking for evidence pieces. They hope to finish this process by March 27. Supervisors and managers at the plant were interviewed, and interviews with hourly workers will begin March 28. So far, investigators have found nothing to explain what caused the explosion.
