PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - On the morning of March 27, 2011, police in Paducah arrested a man they say stabbed another man several times with a screwdriver.
Daryl Montgomery, 29, of Paducah was served at the McCracken Co. Jail on March 31, 2011 with warrants charging him with first degree burglary, tampering with physical evidence and fourth degree domestic assault, according to police.
Police were searching for Montgomery much of the day on March 26, 2011, after a man with stab wounds accused him as his attacker.
According to the Paducah Police Department, Montgomery went into a home on Bridge Street and stabbed 41-year-old William Johnson around 1:43 p.m.
Officers say they found Johnson in a bathtub bleeding from several wounds in his chest, back and stomach.
While officers were investigating at the house, Amanda Montgomery, Darryl Montgomery's wife arrived at the police station saying Montgomery assaulted and threatened her when she had gone to the Bridge Street home earlier.
Johnson was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police say he was in stable condition.
