Man wins lottery at the last minute

CHICAGO, IL (KFVS & Associated Press) If you're one of those people who waits to do your taxes until the last minute, you may want to rethink that strategy.

An Illinois man is now a multi-millionaire -- because he did his taxes early.

Last year, Irving Przyborski bought a ticket at a Chicago 7-11 store.

But the ticket fell into a file with a bunch of tax documents.

Just last week, he broke out the file to do his taxes. That's when he discovered the ticket.

He took it to a convenience store to see if it was a winner. To his surprise, he found out it was the winning ticket in a $9 million dollar jackpot.

A week later and the ticket would have been worthless. It expired Wednesday night.

If he hadn't claimed the money, it would have gone to the state's education fund.

Przyborski has been buying lottery tickets for 30 years. This, of course, is his biggest win.
